From the Beach House in north Cebu we look at two islands, they are magical, the biggest is called Bantayan island which is 8 miles to wast and the smallest is called Gibitngil which is only 1 mile to the west. Both form a beautiful backdrop to the sea.
As you can see by the photo of my boat on the main page the water is beautifully clear with white sand.
From the Beach House it’s very easy to get to many island destinations , the main ones being Malapascua which is to the north east and is world famous for the whale sharks. Getting to Malapascua is just a matter of getting in a boat or you can bus over to Maya then get a small ferry to take you across.
To get to Bantayan Island you go to Hagnaya 30 mins by road then catch a ferry or if you have your boat its just twenty minutes across to there, when we go we stop at Virgin Island (don’t ask) for lunch and the owner or caretaker there will go out in his boat and pull up fresh mussels, oysters, or scallops really cheap and you just throw them on the bbq and beautiful.
Beach House is just 25 minutes away to the west from Bogo which is the main city close by and there are many other Island destination to visit from there.
